Mr. Pride is a long time License Clinical Social Worker with a rich history of developing young men rites of passage programs, from early learning to adulthood. Mr. Pride believes that working with young men includes supporting legacy through parenting and is an original architect of New York States version of ‘Dads Take Your Child to School’. Mr. Pride is a highly sought-after community activist with more than 40 years of experience in human services ranging from NYC to NYS child welfare, criminal justice, education, mentoring etc. A former board member of Community Mediations Inc, the Guy Brewer Democratic club, Community Planning Board 12, the United Black Men of Queens Inc., where he served as Executive Director of Programs, and Founding Social Worker for New Visions Advance Math and Science IV High School. Mr. Pride is the current Chair of the Board of Directors for UMOJA Network for Young Men Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Queens College and a Master of Science degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. He has served at many colleges and universities as a certified field instructor mentoring aspiring social workers and community leaders. Mr. Pride is most committed to his Christian faith and his role as husband, father, and grandfather. Originally from Brooklyn Mr. Pride continues to reside in Addisleigh Park. Queens New York.
